Matt November 10, 2025 for Model Number WTW6120HW0 Getting error code F0E4. Rinse water too hot check supply line hoses. I know the hoses are connected correctly as this hasn't been an issue for years and then all the sudden started with this issue. Would it be replacing the inlet valve to fix this?
1 Answer Hello Matt, and thank you for your question. During the cold rinse phase, the hot water valve would need to be tested for 120 Volts AC. If voltage is present during a cold rinse cycle, the main control board W11543998 has failed. Read More...
Randy June 26, 2024 for Model Number 110.27132411 I have a slow drip inside the washer tub on my Kenmore Series 600S top load washer. Is this caused by a bad water inlet valve? If so, do I need to replace the water inlet valve or is there a way to fix this without replacement?
1 Answer Randy, With water leaking into the tub you will want to replace the water valve. Read More...
Steve February 21, 2024 for Model Number WTW7040DW1 Is there any way to just order the replacement plastic inlet screens/filters? The valve is fine, damaged screens trying to take them out from all the sediment built up.
Hilary March 24, 2023 for Model Number wtw7040dw1 Washer fills slow. I believe inlet screens needs to be cleaned. Are the screens removable or do I need to need to replace the inlet valve unit? Thank you!
Bryan May 21, 2022 for Model Number WTW8040DW3 One of my rubber seals has failed. I see that those seals are part of the valve assembly. Is there an option to buy just the seals? Thanks!
Raul April 11, 2022 for Model Number 11028132411 My washer continuously stops during the cycle and begins again. It does not completely wring out the clothes during the spin cycle so I have to do another rinse and spin for it to finish the load properly. What could be the problem?
1 Answer Raul, it is possible that the unit may be acting as it is out of balance which can be caused by clothes positioned more on one side than the other, the unit being unlevel, or a potential failure in the motor, shifter, or control. Inspecting for an unlevel unit, and identifying if there are any stored error codes in the diagnostic mode can identify a more specific cause of failure. Read More...
Travis October 12, 2021 for Model Number 11026132411 Washer will not fill up with cold water. If I run a cycle on hot the washer will run through the wash cycle but will but rinse. If I try to run a simple Rinse and Spin the washer will bypass rinsing and just spin. I hope this is a simple and cost effective fix because I would prefer not to buy a new washer when this one is only 5 years old.
1 Answer Travis, Turn off the water supply and remove the hose from the water valve and check the screen to make sure that it is not clogged. If the valve is not clogged you will want to test to see if there is power to the valve and if there is power to the valve then the valve will be the issue and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Marwan January 29, 2020 for Model Number WTW7000DW0 Hi, whirlpool Cabrio washer drips water inside pan even when it's not running. Do I need to change the fill valve? Thank you
1 Answer Marwan, The First thing to check is the water faucets, the fill hoses, and washers. A worn faucet washer, loose-fitting fill hose/washer could allow water to drip into the drip pan under the washer. If all's OK then replace the W11220230 / W10758829 Valve. Read More...
Michael January 13, 2020 for Model Number WTW7000DW0 Whirlpool Cabrio Washer. When set for HOT water, only cold water enters the tub. Washing machine runs complete cycle, just using cold water. Hot water valve is ON. Hoses are connected correctly. Disconnected hot water hose at the washer, turned valve on and hot water flows normally. Does this sound like a water valve replacement issue?
1 Answer Michael, during the start of a cycle, the hot water valve W11220230 can be tested for 120VAC. If it is receiving 120VAC, then the valve would need to be replaced. If it is not receiving 120VAC, then the most likely failure would be the main control W11723354. Read More...
Adela October 29, 2019 for Model Number Kenmore 11027132411 My washer is getting too much water in it. I ran the service diagnostics, and it did not return any errors. The pressure hose appears to be clear. The valve test did test higher than the recommended range of ohms. I'm not sure if I need to replace the valve assembly or if it's actually the pressure sensor that is bad. The washer does not overflow, but it just keeps filling, sensing, and filling until it's too full, and then it has trouble agitating, etc.
1 Answer Hello Adela, it sounds like the water level sensor that is mounted on the main control board is trying to fill the tub to what it thinks is the proper water level, it is dependent on air pressure building up in the airdrome on the outer tub and up thru the airline hose to the pressure switch. Replace the airline tubing first. it is part WP353244, any tiny air leak in the tubing or its end fittings will cause this problem. Read More...
