Scott March 28, 2014 I have a Duet washer which uses inlet valve 8181694. The machine goes into HF mode and upon dis assembly, the solenoids are not actuating the valve. The solenoids do have power applied properly. My question is...are the solenoids bad or the valve bad AND is there a way to purchase them separately?

David March 05, 2014 for Model Number KENMORE HE4T/11045087400 I have an error code of HF. this may be indicative of a bad water inlet valve. If I run cold water was I get no water and machine will go into code in a few minutes. If I run hot water the machine will run without code until it goes to cold water rinse. This is what makes me think it is the water inlet valve. Does this sound logical.

Tim January 28, 2014 for Model Number GHW9100LW2 This does not happen every time we wash but has become an issue. After washing the machine pumps all the water out and spin. The following morning water is in the tub and on the floor. Reading answers, etc. it seem the water inlet valve may be the problem. Could this unit be repaired, or cleaned instead of a new unit? Perk October 07, 2013 for Model Number 11042822201 Kenmore HE3 washer starts to fill with cold water, then switches itself to hot water. I have to pause the fill, and switch the temp buttons back and forth and then resume the fill to get correct temp again.

Dawn September 25, 2013 for Model Number GHW9150PW Front load washer filing up with some water when not in use and now for the first time water found on the floor but only at the front of the washer. At the back on the floor is totally dry? Is this the inlet valve as well. The washer was purchased in 2006 first problem we have had really. I have noticed water in tub before maybe two other times - but never water on the floor. Before I have just had to drain before using. But I never understood why it happened? Joe B August 05, 2013 for Model Number GHW9160PW0 Hi, I just took apart the inlet valve on this washer and discovered the filter/screens were completely gunked up. I was able to clean these with CLR and scrubbing but the reason I took this apart in the first place is that I continue to have almost a half gallon of water sloshing at the bottom of the drum in this washer. This occurs after every cycle and recently the water was 2 inches higher than the inside bottom of the tub (significant amount of water). I am wondering if I should replace the inlet valve (approximately 7 year old Whirlpool Duet washer)? I have already checked the pump and cleaned it out (had a variety of objects in it). I even replaced the pump but that did not fix the problem of this water collecting at the bottom after wash cycle. I also tried vacuuming the water out and leaving the water turned on overnight to see if there was a leak. The next day - still no water so I suspect something is wrong with the solenoid-controlled valves during/after the cycle that is letting water seep in. I also took apart the drum drain hose (bottom of the drum) and cleaned the float ball - still the same issue though. After all this, I am thinking about starting my own Whirlpool repair business :( Thanks for any suggestions! JB
