When you are moving on uneven ground or simply turning, the gauge wheel is responsible for ensuring the machine doesn't hit the ground. It measures the distance between the surface and the deck. Use a socket and wrench to loosen the gauge wheel's bolt. Then, remove the old wheel. Insert the bolt and washer into the hole of the gauge wheel replacement.
