Maytag Dryer MDG16CSSAW Noisy

Replacement drum support roller for dryers. Installs on the drum assembly to allow smooth rotation. Replace when cracked, worn, or making noise.

The Dryer Drum Roller Axle is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by offering support and an axis for the drum roller to spin smoothly. This guarantees effective and balanced tumbling of clothes throughout the drying cycle.

Causes of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle can include prolonged use leading to wear and tear, accumulation of lint and debris causing additional friction, or improper loading of the dryer drum which can bend or strain the axle.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Drum Roller Axle include:

• Unusual noises, such as squeaking or grinding, during the operation
• The dryer drum struggling to turn or not turning at all
• Increased vibration or shaking of the dryer unit
• Clothes taking longer to dry or not drying evenly

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This kit includes the front drum glide pads that support the front edge of the dryer drum as it rotates. The glides are mounted on the front bulkhead and provide a smooth, low-friction surface for the drum to rest on. Replace these glides if the dryer makes squealing, scraping, or thumping noises during operation, or if you notice dark marks or wear on the front of the drum.

Replaces the belt tension pulley that maintains proper belt alignment in your dryer. Needed when pulley is squealing, cracked, or worn out.

Replace your dryer drum belt if the drum won't turn or makes squealing noises. Essential for rotating the drum during drying cycles. Verify fit by model.

This is a small fiber washer that fits on the drum support roller shaft inside the dryer. It acts as a spacer and bearing surface to reduce friction and keep the drum roller properly positioned. Replace this washer if the dryer makes squealing, thumping, or scraping noises during operation, or if the drum rollers appear to wobble or wear unevenly.

Seals the drum edge to prevent hot air escape and reduce noise. Replace when worn to eliminate metal-on-metal sounds or clothing stains. Confirm fit.

Fiber washer that maintains idler pulley alignment and belt tension in your dryer. Replace if squeaking, grinding, or pulley wobbles occur.

Pivoting bracket arm that suspends the idler pulley and routes the drive belt in your dryer. Replace if cracked, bent, or worn to restore proper operation.

The Clamp is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. This clamp ensures tight and secure connections within the dryer, particularly in securing ducts and vents that are essential for proper airflow and operation.

Clamps may need replacement due to loss of tension, corrosion, or damage from regular use. A compromised clamp can lead to operational issues such as prolonged drying times or excessive noise, resulting from loose parts or improper ventilation.

Symptoms of a bad Clamp include:

• Loose or detached vents or hoses, leading to inefficient dryer operation.
• Increased drying times, as a result of compromised airflow from unsecured ducts.
• Unusual vibrations or noise, indicating that internal components may not be securely fastened.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

The Idler Shaft Retaining Ring is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. Also called an "E" ring, it is a sealing gasket positioned between the front and rear housing omponents. Maintaining an airtight seal prevents gas leakage and promotes efficient drying performance.

Causes of a bad retaining ring commonly involve compression loss of the rubber gasket material over many years of heating cycles. Exposure to petroleum-based cleaners may prematurely deteriorate the seal as well.

Symptoms of a failed 'E' ring include:

• Gas leaks emitting foul odors around seams or vents
• Reduced heat conductivity hampering dryer functioning
• Moisture accumulation shortens fabric lifespan
•  Drafts compromising indoor air quality and energy bills

This OEM Whirlpool replacement part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore gas dryer models.

Plastic lift fin inside the dryer drum that tumbles clothes during drying. Replace if cracked, broken, or detached from drum. Screws sold separately.

Rectangular plastic baffle that mounts inside the dryer drum to lift and tumble clothes. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper airflow.

Fix loud grinding noises in your dryer with a new blower wheel. This fan circulates air to dry clothes efficiently. DIY-friendly repair.

Maintains tension on the idler arm to keep your dryer belt tight. Replace if the spring is stretched, broken, or missing to restore proper belt operation.

Protects the idler arm and ensures smooth belt tension operation in your dryer. Replace if you hear grinding noises or notice excessive arm movement.
