Door Switch for Roper REL4632BL2 Will not drain

Manufacturer's Part Number: W10820036
Genuine Whirlpool part

The Washer Door Switch is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This component is crucial for ensuring the washer operates safely by detecting whether the door is open or closed. The door switch prevents the washer from starting or continuing its cycle when the door is open, and it allows the machine to function only when the door is securely closed.

Symptoms of a failing Washer Door Switch include:

  • The washer not starting or stopping unexpectedly during a cycle
  • Error codes related to door closure issues displayed on the washer's control panel
  • The washer door not locking properly or the lock mechanism not engaging
  • The washer continuing to operate with the door open

Causes of a bad door switch can include wear and tear from frequent use, damage from repeated opening and closing of the door, electrical faults such as short circuits, or physical damage from mishandling or impact.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with some models from Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Will not drain
  • Pumps but will not spin
  • Timer will not advance
  • Doesn't shut off
  • Will not agitate
  • Won't start
