David R Poquoson , VA December 30, 2018 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA-0000 Icemaker and water dispenser not working The water dispenser stopped working one time when it was being used. After taking most of the water circuit apart I convinced myself that the problem was related to the solenoids that control the water and so I bought the water tank assembly. It is easy to remove the old assembly and easy to fit the new one however there were 2 difficulties: 1. The blue hose from the filter assembly goes to a connection under a hinge cover on the top of the refrigerator. It was not clear to me in the instructions that the hinge cover referred to was actually the one on the very top of the unit. 2. The old water tank assembly had 3 wire harnesses with connectors but the new one only had 2. I also noticed that the valve arrangement in the new unit was different to the old one. I installed connected the new one using 2 out of the 3 connections in the refrigerator and it works fine. Obviously there is a difference in the valves that eliminated the need for the 3rd wire harness. A reference to this change would have been useful.
