Patrick H Conyers , GA May 19, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 Error code "over fill" (flashing 'smart auto' and 'heavy' lights) cycle doesn't start in time for water to reach over fill sensor Here's what the problem was: Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor. So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor. I, however, was able to get by with just the ECS sensor replacement, which is known to be a faulty design by Samsung, supposedly. The idea is replace the (1) most common known issue, which also happens to be (2) the cheapest of the three parts. Simple... simple... simple. CUT THE POWER TO THE UNIT. Breaker off! Tip the unit on its side. Remove the plastic leak-sensor pan (without unplugging the leak-sensor). The ECS sensor has a blue wire connected to it. Do a quarter-twist to remove the sensor from the assembly. KEEP THE RUBBER O-RING!! Put the new sensor in WITH THE OLD O-RING, and plug it up. Re-attach the leak-sensor pan. Situate the unit upright, and wash a load, ensuring its completion of a full cycle BEFORE you situate it in the cabinet space. Nathan F San Angelo , TX September 21, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 Samsung dw80f600uts smart auto and normal lights blinking This error code is for a high temperature heating error. Unplug the dishwasher or flip the circuit breaker that powers the dishwasher. Remove the dishwasher from under the counter. And remove the metal panel that is on the right side if you are looking at it from the front. It is 2 Phillips head screws. Using a flashlight, look at the very bottom of the pump housing and you will see the thermistor that you will need to replace. Unplug the connector from the thermistor then turn the thermistor 1/4 turn to the left and remove it. Installation is reverse from removal. Be sure to buy the replacement o-ring to use on the new thermistor. Any water that was released from the sump while the thermistor was removed will need to be cleared from the drain pain or you will get a leak error signified by the Heavy light flashing and the continuous running of the pump motor. Victor M Dillon , CO February 07, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 High temperature sensor code I had a "High Temperature Sensor" code blinking light on my Samsung DW. I replaced this sensor. Pulled DW out, lay it on it's back and removed 2 screws from the bottom tray. It takes about 1min to replace the sensor. The new part did not come with the rubber gasket/seal so keep the old one. Put everything back and DW works fine. It takes longer to disconnect the DW and pull it out than replace the sensor. Ryan A Bozeman , MT April 06, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA-0000 High temperature heating error Had the first two lights blinking (Smart Auto and Normal buttons) which according to the owner's manual indicates high temperature heating error. I fixed this by replacing the ECS sensor. However it may have been as easy as cleaning the existing ECS already in the dishwasher. When I pulled the old one out, it had "gunk" on it. I didn't think about cleaning it and trying it until after the fact, but might be worth a shot if you are getting that error. Also, I had a Sears repairman come out first and he told me I needed a whole new control board. That was not the problem at all. Also was told I likely need a new "brake". But I didn't replace that. Installation was pretty simple. Turned dishwasher on its back to get to the bottom. Two screws to take off the cover. Then it's a matter of finding the existing sensor, disconnecting it, then twisting it out. No screws to mess with there. A very easy fix. Wish I would have found this site before I paid the repairman to give me the wrong diagnosis.
