Jeremy W Cary , NC May 18, 2018 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF323TEDBSR/AA-0001 Broken filter socket (works when filter is not installed water very slow or intermittent when any filter is installed leaks a little) Shut off the water valve behind the fridge. I took off some of the covers and loosened the tubing on the back of the fridge to give myself some wiggle room, this might not be strictly necessary. Remove the drawers on either side of the filter housing. To remove the shelf on top of the filter housing, press in the release tabs on the top of the filter housing (hard) and lift up. Remove the front cover of the filter housing by releasing the tabs on the side with a flat head screwdriver (in the suspiciously flat-head shaped holes). Remove the 3 screws (1 in the middle, 2 toward the back) holding the two sides of the filter housing together. Pull the two halves apart carefully by detaching the 5 (3 on top, 2 on bottom) snap tabs - be careful not to yank the right-side wiring and the tubing at this point. The water reservoir in the filter housing will tend to fall down - I just propped it up with a little cup of sour cream still in the fridge. Remove the two screws holding the filter socket to the housing. To disconnect both tubes from the filter socket, use a flat-head to pop off the little red spacers, then hold the gray flange-thing down and the tubes can be slid out. Put in your new filter socket and put your fridge back together the same way you took it apart - I didn't need the tube that came with the filter socket, the existing tube is fine. If you did this quick enough or gave the fridge little cooling breaks, your beer is still cold, enjoy!
