Chris C Mobile , AL September 08, 2025 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA422PRHDWR/AA-02 Very noisy loud grinding sound on agitation The symptom was very loud and noisy. Removed and replaced clutch assembly. The replacement part was exact, OEM. The hardest part is removing the top lid, holding it up, and out of the way. Putting the lid back on, going back underneath the machine, then repeating this many times. Inner tub was stuck, would not budge, 11.75 yrs. old. So used Air Kroil penetrating oil, left for 4 hours. Then used 3lb. hammer and finally knocked it loose. The install was much smoother and easier. Washed, cleaned the inner tub while I had it out. On completion, no more noise.
