Basically: You have to remove the front and top of the washing machine, including the door and door seal. Then you must disconnect all wires, hoses, struts and springs from the tub. Once the tub is free, it will be sitting on the bottom of the washing machine housing and can be slipped out through the front. Next I placed the tub housing on two milk crates, and removed all the bolts keeping the 2 plastic halves together. once I could remove the front half of the tub housing (with weights still attached) I set it aside. Next you must flip the tub over and lightly tap the inner drum out with a rubber mallet or piece of wood and a hammer. Once the shaft is free of the tub bearings, the drum, spider, and shaft are accessible. ***BUY NEW BOLTS FOR THE SPIDER!! I did not and they are made of the same junk metal as the spider. Hence they strip as if made of warm butter.*** I basically removed the bolts holding the spider and shaft on the drum, and replaced it with the new part i ordered here. Lastly I replaced the Bearing seal and worked backward to the beginning.
