Samsung DC97-14849H Dryer Drum Assembly OEM Part

Noise was coming from dryer rotation so I checked in to what it was. Found out the drum gasket had a tear in it causing the drum to "skip a beat" during operation. Basically making a scraping sound every rotation. I chat'd with AP Pro about parts and found the gasket was more than the drum! You need 2 as well, front and rear, plus glue to secure it. After seeing the price of a drum was cheaper, I asked if it came with gaskets and they said yes. So, easy peasy, order the drum as well as a new belt, rollers and tensioner. Figured as long as I'm in there, do it all. Machine is 7yrs old and in excellent condition so repair was minimal. I would've glued the gaskets on, but since the drum was less with them, it was a no brainer. Repair took about 35min and very simple to do just figuring out how to unbolt the idler rollers, but it was real easy with an adjustable wrench and 17mm box end. Other than that, my electric screwdriver made it a breeze. I'm very mechanically able so it wasn't hard and a first timer can do it, my only advice is to pay attention to what you're doing and make sure you understand the belt orientation on the idler to motor.
