Paul N Simsbury , CT August 30, 2021 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DW80M9550US/AA-00 E7 Removed racks and middle and upper spray arms. Removed riser pipe (clips on top and back). Removed gray cover and then unscrewed 2 screws for vane track to remove track. Disconnected power, Pulled out dishwasher and remove rear cover (2 screws). Removed black tubing from assembly. Put screwdriver to release tab on diverted motor to rotate it. This released that side. Then rotated the white tab on left side of assembly and removed to release that side. The assembly then came out from inside by pulling up. Installation was reversed for new assembly. The vane motor gear has a plastic cage as the stator that sandwiches the magnet. My theory is that anything stopping the blade causes enough stress to eventually break this piece. Load dishwasher carefully so nothing falls through.
