Jonathan S State Road , NC August 05, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Ice maker not making popping out ice (e39 error code) My Samsung refrigerator was running great until we lost power from a bad rain storm. When power did return 4 hours later ice was being made by ice maker but would never pop out into ice bin ice would just stay in the maker and jam up. Well i had the idea to just hey why not buy a new ice maker 100.00 i can handle that simple plug and play well i was so excited with my new ice maker when it arrived i just had to hurry and install first two times ice was made i was like yay but then all the sudden the ice just started jamming again. I was like oh no. So i further researched and i had this is my last straw i will replace my main computer board located on the back of refrigerator. My refrigerator is a rf4287hars/xaa samsung made in april 2012. Well the pcb that i had in my current refrigerator was different than the one that appliance pros recommended so i talked to there tech and after further research he said just go with the current one you have so i did and hey now my ice maker is running perfectly after newly replaced board. I did replace water filter also but that still didn't fix ice maker problem what did fix my problem with the ice being made was replacing my main board. I had replaced the original ice maker unit with a new one and it only worked for a couple of days. So Today, I replaced the Control Board. Took all of 15-20 minutes from start to finish. now the ice is dropping every couple of hours! I noticed the compressor fan wasn’t working and the panel was displaying inaccurate temperatures. I replaced the control board and the compressor fan. The parts showed up less than 24 hours after I ordered them. It took about 20 minutes. Saved me a bundle.
