Richard C Portland , OR September 21, 2016 2 broken dryers 1 putting brown stains on clthws the other shut itself off after a few seconds Dryer 1 an older Frigidaire needed felt seal and glide assembly replaced. Easily done thanks to the repair video!! Thanks AppliancePartsPros :) Dryer 2 a newer Samsung would start and rotate but then shut itself off. AppliancePartsPros to the rescue!! Thanks to you guys I learned that it could be the thermal fuse or the thermistor or the thermostat. Your videos and Q&A's made it easy to access and test those parts - but they all tested good! What now??? A quick chat with your pro staff confirmed my suspicion that the next likely suspect was the main control board. With your excellent return policy I didn't hesitate to order the part. Again the detailed videos had left me fully able to install the new part in a jiffy. Victory! My dryer and my mom's both good-as-new for less than a single service call! P.S. I wondered about saving the shipping fee by picking up the thermal fuse ($8.04 + shipping here) at a local appliance repair place - $70.00 NO KIDDING $70.00. Also talked with Sears repair about the thermal fuse and was told my dryer doesn't have one of those! THANKS and GREAT JOB AppliancePartsPros!! Read More...
