Brian C Lehi , UT August 29, 2015 Appliance: Model WF409ANR/XAA Broken assy flange shaft Stupid flange shaft corroded (as they seem to do) and broke. The washer continued to run with a broken part, and the drum wore a hole thru the front half of the tub so it had to be replaced too. the spider bolts broke getting them out of the flange, so new bolts. Everything went back together great, and it gave me a chance to clean 5 years of dirt, fabric softener, detergent, and other junk out of the tub and shine the drum back up again. Feels like a new washer (minus the front panel that the lettering rubbed off). The tub/drum assembly was pretty heavy. I manged to get it out myself, but was afraid I would have damaged something else trying to get it back in by myself, so I recruited help. Not really a challenging fix, but time consuming. Michael M Pepperell , MA October 08, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF419AAW/XAA-0004 Samsung WF419 washer drum stopped rotating; spider broken. Thankfully Google quickly pointed me at lots of sites that told me the spider will corrode out in time, and I found the extremely helpful videos provided by Appliance Parts Pros. With the video guidance, I took things apart first to confirm exactly what was broken, and sure enough the spindle had completely separated from the spider, hence no rotation! It turned out that the rotating drum had obviously been rubbing on the plastic drum for some time, because when we separate the two halves of the plastic drum the front had rubbed all the way through. So we needed a new front half of the drum as well. Just as well those are available. I suspect next time this happens (7 or 8 years I suppose) none of the parts will be available. Overall it took about 2 hours to take things apart, and about the same to put to back together again. Nothing too difficult; just fiddly. Denise M Antrim , NH September 19, 2017 Appliance: Model WF350ANP/XAA (0004) Won't drain or spin. My husband is a diesel mechanic but had never repaired a washer before. This was the easiest repair! we just took the back off and disconnected a few plugs. Took the white outside tub apart to find the assy flange in pieces. We replaced a few parts for less than $300 and reassembled the machine. It works fantastic. We spent almost $1000. for this machine new about 5 years ago and are very happy to find how easy it was to fix it. Thanks for making the parts so available and easy to order! Read More...
