John T Fort Worth , TX July 31, 2015 Appliance: Model RMT300RF Machine would fill then empty without starting twice then flash three lights It had done this before, and I replaced just about everything in the water path. Finally checked this sensor and found it fouled with sticky gunk. I cleaned it and reinstalled it. This time I was pretty sure it was the sensor again, so I ordered this new part so save myself the task of prying the old one into pieces and laboriously cleaning its interior. I disconnected the power and shut off the water. Unhooked the water supply line and pulled the unit from under the counter. A panel on the low left side covered the sensor and had two screws. In order to remove the old sensor it was necessary to remove a twist off cover inside the tub so the piece above the sensor could be raised enough to free the sensor. After that I disconnected the two wire harnesses from the sensor (one the wires for the switch and the other held in place by the sensor body) and the rubber hose on the back of the sensor. Put the new sensor in place and reversed the dis-assembly process. Now it always starts on the first fill attempt. It took about half an hour including getting the dishwasher out of and back into the very tight space a crazed kitchen redo before we bought the house left us with. Bill R Austin , TX March 18, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dishwasher DMT300RFB/XAA Over level water error (heavy and quick lights blinking) The repair involved replacing the water level sensor assembly. The instructional video was very helpful, at least as far as it went. The twist-off screen inside the tub was a bit stubborn, but fortunately I have a pin spanner which removed it without damaging the plastic. The only other glitch was that the microswitch and the 2 blue wires and plug assembly -- which, in the parts diagram are pictured as part of the assembly that I ordered -- were not included with the "assembly" that I received and had to be transplanted from the old unit to the new one. The part supplied was not an OEM Samsung part but rather a cheap made-in-China knockoff, which probably explains the difference in the part. Customer service very kindly offered to provide the proper assembly, but at this point the job was completed and I really didn't feel like doing it a second time. Everything seems to work fine right now, but I would encourage you to check the part before beginning the repair process and make sure that you get everything that you ordered. Aside from this, the job was relatively easy and went smoothly. Read More... 9 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
