Wendy G Defiance , OH July 29, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV52J8700EW/A2 Base stands had major cracks; adjustable leg feet had deep scratches. My dryer was purchased as a "scratch-n-dent" unit. Base Stands on each side were badly damaged. The feet of the Adjustable Legs were heavily scratched. To fix, I laid the dryer on it's side and removed the Adjustable Legs by hand. Used a phillips screwdriver to remove the Base Stands from each side. I attached the new Base Stands, then screwed the new Adjustable Legs into the Base Stands. Set dryer upright and moved to the laundry closet. I then BALANCED front-to-back and side-to-side. EXTRA NOTE: when we were using the dryer, the "Vent Sensor" came on, indicating the exhaust was blocked. We had just cleaned out the whole vent from dryer to outside exit, so we knew it was not that. At the back of the dryer, I used a flashlight to look into the vent. I saw that this portion was not attached to the exhaust unit in the dryer. Read More...
