In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. Worked the cable out of the hinge piece so it could be removed and cable pulled through case. Pried upper and lower caps off to remove hinge pieces. Swapped everything over to the new flap case in reverse order, re-installed flap on door, and installed spring with its pin sheath. Done!

After a search on the internet for a mullion replacement, I was able to find that I had the exact same problem that someone else had - which was a broken case. Therefore I was able to order a replacement case instead of a new mullion which saved a good amount of money. Followed the video for the center hinge replacement and the just exchanged the new case for the old.

I did like your video. I open the case take out and I cut the wire to replace the case and solder back and put shrink where I solder and put everything back together and work fine

Watched repairs from appliancepartspro.com. Ordered the parts, only had to call once. Followed instructions and fixed the problems.
