Kenneth P Centerville , GA September 22, 2014 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS2578BB/XAA Bad defrost heater and sensor (display showing code 3 at startup) Purchased new evaporator/heater/sensor assembly from appliance parts. Removed new heater, sensor and wire harness from new assembly and from existing unit in refrig section. Then installed new heater and sensor on old refrig evaporator, avoiding complex soldering and recharge with Freon. Once repaired all failure indications cleared and refrigerator section performing like new. Also purchased new heater for water tank and several broken plastic parts that went in in 2 minutes. Eric O Long Beach , CA February 15, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS2577BB/XAA Fridge side was warming up due to coils not defrosting properly freezer was fine Replaced 4 different parts based on reviews here and various other sources. 4 parts included: 1) Sensor - AP4136950 (DA32-10109Y) 2) Temperature Sensor - AP4136842 (DA32-00006W) 3) Temperature Sensor - AP4136048 (DA47-00095E) 4) Drain Heater - AP4136045 (DA47-00094C) Replaced #1 and #2 first, but didn't correct the problem. So far (1 week), replacing #3 and #4 appears to be working. Be careful, it seems the reviews on this site are applied to multiple products, so it may not be clear which product pertains to the fix noted in each review.
