Nicholas K Duxbury , MA December 23, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV56H9000EP/A2-0000 Samsung (top of line) 9 5 cubic foot dryer 27 months old stpped turning and merely hummed i e main drive motor failed Lots of online video help showing how to replace to replace main drive motor on a model which was very close to mine. Main concern was that there are very similar motors available...with same model numbers except for last letter ...My motor ended in "J " not "G"...I found that it was best to take the Samsung Dryer model number directly from the Dryer itself...as the advertising literature left off some important digits. When I had the complete model number ...Appliance Parts Pro came up with the correct Motor and it fitted correctly . Next biggest concern was to take off and re-insert the belt which turns the drum; and correctly re-install the drum ..,.all of which attaches to the motor.( Motor No. MFG #DC31-00055J). The video shows how to reach into the dryer and do the work without seeing the belt; and it went all together very easily.
