Chris B Harpers Ferry , WV October 17, 2016 Refrigerator was not cooling I noticed the temperature creeping up on my Samsung refrigerator and freezer. It also was not making the normal sound when a compressor kicks in. Just a clicking sound along with the fan was audible. Normally when it would get like this, I would unplug the power, let sit for 10-15 minutes, plug back in and be okay. This time, a full power reset didn't work. Every time, there was just clicking. I got strange readings on the relay. VOM displayed 122vac on one terminal and when clicked, it would drop to 116. The other terminal on the relay read zero but when the relay clicked, it read 6 volts. Once I pulled it out, it read as an open circuit with the ohm meter. I replaced it with the new relay ... which did NOT read as open!, (3 minute job!) and wallah! That compressor kicked in like butter and my Samsung is running smoothly once again! Thanks for the quick shipping APP! It took a little longer than I'd hopped (3 days) but definitely worth the wait! Many thanks!! Skip R Phoenix , AZ April 23, 2019 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG-REFRIG-RB1855 Starter relays were not working Cost thru a repair place was going to be about $245.00 - I had an appliance repair place dispatch a technician to help me diagnose $80 - then I ordered the parts - easily done thru Appliance Parts Pros. Simple slide off, match the push-on wiring and slide on. Done in under 20 minutes, including getting my tools all in place. Compressor is humming now! and I still have money in my pocket!
