John A Star Valley Ranch , WY June 08, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RB2055SW/XAA The appliance started warming up even thought the displays showed correct temps Changed all sensors in the freezer and the fridge along with a new board. My guess in what the real issue was, ended up being related to the fridges "Thermal Fuse", since I found melted insulated tape on the defrosting coil. I first changed out the board and the sensors and it still failed to function. I then changed out the Thermal Fuses and the Start Relay along with the ice makers sensor. Basically a trial and error project, but finalizing that it was the Thermal Fuses actually fixing the problem. Alan A Tucson , AZ November 23, 2015 Freezer stopped running unplugged then plug in hear slight hum but compressor doesn't kick in had this problem once before with wine refrigerator bad run or start capacitor Ordered what I thought was the only capacitor. That didn't work. Then found there was another capacitor (hiding under a cover) . . . . replaced it with the one I got from you. Bingo. Freezer back to working just fine. Zero degrees. I love finding less than $20 (including shipping) fixes instead of tossing and replacing $250 - 300 appliances!!! Now my neighbors look to me for fixing theirs! Thanks Read More... John Z Ithaca , NY August 18, 2015 Appliance: Model RB2055SW/XAA SAMSUNG Compressor in fridge wasn't running freezer and fridge were getting warm I replaced the PTC relay on the compressor with a new one because the old one wasn't working any more. The biggest problem for me was getting the refrigerator pulled out of the hole where it lives. After that it was just a matter of taking the cover off the back and off the relay and finding that the cold resistance of the original relay was too high. Read More...
