Brian K Atascadero , CA August 08, 2014 Appliance: Model DACOR ECS 230 SCH OVEN The top oven lights on a dacor in wall double oven quit working After googling light problems on Dacor ovens and finding that my bulbs were still good I had a pretty good idea that the transformer had failed. Since the bottom oven lights worked I could switch the wires from the top to the bottom and confirm that the problem was in the transformer. I was able to chat with an ApplicanParts rep on a Sunday Afternoon, confirm the part, and order it online. The part shipped on Monday and delivered on Tuesday. The oven was fixed Tuesday night. Alan M Chattahoochee Hills , GA January 21, 2017 Appliance: Model MCS130S Lights not operating in dacor wall oven Appliance Parts Pros' information on Dacor is limited (Dacor's fault, not APP's). Decor technical support said problem I described was probably transformer or perhaps PCB. APP, who was also helping me with an LG refrigerator issue, accepted my order for the Dacor transformer which was delivered promptly. Replacing transformer is fairly simple. Pull oven partially out of wall to gain access to metal panel on top of oven. Access the transformer, one-by-one switch wires to same terminals on new transformer, and then unscrew old transformer and screw in the new one. Replace oven into wall cabinet and turn on the circuit breakers and then, "let there be light."
