David R Montgomery , TX May 07, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RSG257AAWP/XAA Icemaker / water dispenser would not shut off First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. Unplugged the switch and re-installed. I now think it also resolved the ice freezing issue in the ice bucket. Probably a symptom of a switch going bad.
