Kitchenaid microwave plate stopped turning Joan N. • Portland , OR • October 16, 2016
Turned the microwave on its back. Took a hammer and screwdriver to punch out the small access door for the motor, unscrewed two screws holding the motor and unplugged the the wiring harness. Attached the new motor with the two screws and plugged the wiring harness back on.
Finally, attach the access door with the screw.
It took longer to punch out the access door than to actually install the motor.

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304493152
This drive motor restores rotational power to the appliance's drum or agitator so loads spin and drain correctly. It's a direct-replacement motor designed to restore normal wash and spin cycles when the original motor fails. What it does:
- Provides the mechanical drive force for the washer drum/agitator so clothes tumble and spin
- Re-establishes proper agitation and spin speed control when a worn or failed motor causes no-spin or no-agitate symptoms
- Operates with the appliance's existing pulley, belt, or coupling
- Works as the core rotating component tied to load movement and draining functions
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water before beginning any repair; follow the appliance service manual for safe access
- Replacement typically requires removing cabinet panels, drive belt or coupling, and electrical connector—avoid forcing parts
- Inspect associated belts, couplings, and mounting hardware; replace worn items to prevent repeated failures

My microwave would not heat anything Doug J. • Waikoloa , HI • March 15, 2015
I pulled it off the wall and opened it up ( unplugged ) Then I checked the fuses with my volt meter and found nothing wrong. I then checked the capasator and found that to also be good, I then plugged in the Microwave and tried a test run and noticed the fan was not running. I unplugged the fan and tested to see if it was getting voltage and it was.....soooo the fan was bad. I ordered the new one and the microwave now works.
