This high voltage transformer supplies the spark energy needed by a gas range or oven ignition system so burners and the oven light reliably. Replaces a failed ignition transformer to restore spark-based ignition. What it does:
- Converts household voltage to the high-voltage pulses used by the spark electrodes for gas ignition
- Commonly used on gas cooktop burners and oven igniters in ranges
- Symptoms of failure: clicking with no spark, burners or oven that won't ignite, intermittent sparking
- Fits as a direct replacement when the OEM part number matches
