The control panel mounting tabs broke and it fell inside the vent hood David L. • Rockville , MD • December 02, 2017
Pretty easy job for a DIYer. The control panel gets loose when the plastic tabs break for one reason or the other. You can replace the control board housing without having to replace the control board. Note also that the control board housing comes with a new control overlay label, so you don't need to buy the label like I did. You will need torx screw drivers or torx bit set - two sizes T20 and maybe T15.
Start by remove the three metal filters (I replaced mine during this repair as they...

Fan did not turn on most time sometimes light button turned on fan Timothy P. • Wales , WI • December 13, 2016
Fan buttons worked only sometimes and once in a while also interacted with light buttons. Not much troubleshooting help available and not clear to me at first that there was a circuit board in the switch box. Based on this behavior I ordered a Main Board. Main board did not fix it, so I called in and ordered up the Switch box which fixed the problem. Returned the Main Board for credit.
Phone support was helpful for the return, but not for troubleshooting.
Replacing the switch box is...

The circuit board mounted micro switch, to turn the fan on had become non responsive Frans F. • Sterling , VA • April 02, 2019
The only way to repair this problem is to replace the small control panel. Requires 10, 15 and 20 torx head drivers to remove the various screws that secure the hood stack cover, the plates securing the glass hood cover and then the master exhaust fan controls. Make sure the breaker to the hood is off before proceeding. Total time was about an hour but that included cleaning up all of the stainless steel and glass before putting it all back.

Broken switches on range Quincy V. • Las Vegas , NV • July 14, 2015
1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box. The box then slides out. If you take out the third that connects the box to the wire cover, just remember to screw that back in before you replace the box.
2) To make sure I didn't place the wiring in the wrong place, I basically took the wiring out one by one and placing it into the new switch.
3) Place the new...
