The dispenser drip tray catches water and ice that falls from the refrigerator's front-mounted water and ice dispenser. Replace when the tray is cracked, stained beyond cleaning, or doesn't fit properly in its slot.
Internet videos provided troubleshooting help. Verified ice maker working by shorting terminals and then verified valve was bad with ohmmeter check. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was 10+ yrs old and during the change out the water filter housing which has connecting tubes from the water inlet valve began leaking, possibly from movement of the tubes during the changeout. Our refrigerator is over 15 years old and has been working great with only minor complaints and repairs. We noticed that our water level has been discolored from minor dripping.
