Popped the back control panel and checked where the power comes in. Had power. On the other side of that component there was no power. Found the problem. The hardest part was finding where they hid the model number. Up and under the back of the lid. Nice hiding place. Read more

Disassembled washer, found that 2 out of the 3 basket support legs had cracked through. Unfortunately, support cannot be bought except as an assembly, so had to spend almost $300 for the part. Bearings were worn, but not trashed, so I replaced them and the seal. Note, most parts places (including AppliancePartsPros.com) will only sell the bearings and seal as part of the rear tub assembly. Took it apart and saw that the the bearings were worn down completely.. The front outer tub was cracked and leaking. We ordered both pieces to the outer tub and a new pulley. My washer is running like new now.. A little advice.. Do not over load your washer.. Maytag is a great brand but overloading them because there great washers, will wear down the parts inside.. I watched the youtube video from appliancepartspros that explained every step of how to install shipping bolts on a Whirlpool Duet front-load washer. The step that I would have missed without the video was removing the top cover from the washer in order to push the drum down enough for the shipping bolts to connect. I used a screw driver and a socket set to install the shipping bolts. Read more
