This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. Researched this kenmore washer on-line and found the problem to be the lid switch. Saw a diagram on how to jump this switch by connecting a wire to both outside wires on the harness and voila! It worked! This is not a fix but it allowed me to finish the load of unwashed clothes and told me which part was bad (do not run washer jumped like this.......fire hazard!) Ordered the lid switch and it was an easy repair. A $14.00 switch was a lot cheaper than a $450.00 washer. Thanks appliance parts... Read more

After a few calls to AppliancePartsPros, a number of diagnostic tests on the drain pump and the pressure switch and the tubing from the tub to the pressure switch, I replaced the pressure switch also known as the water level switch. The multiple calls to APPros probably totaled 2 hours and the actual switch replacement took 10 minutes with a few hours of machine testing. Read more
