This is a genuine OEM clamp sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in various lawn and garden machines to connect hoses to fittings. It is used to connect piping to water pumps, exhaust pipes to exhaust manifolds, and other similar applications. This connection prevents fluids or air from leaking from the hose. Clamps may be spring or screw/band clamps. Spring clamps require no tools to install and remove; however, the size must be more accurate than when using screw/band clamps. Screw/band clamps are adjustable and can be tightened or loosened. Screw clamps should be inspected periodically to ensure tightness and that the clamps have not rusted.Hose clamps are installed approximately 1/4 inch below the end of the hose. If two clamps are used, there should be 1/4 inch between the two bands. When using a screw clamp, loosen the screw with a screwdriver just enough to fit the clamp over the hose. If using a spring clamp, squeeze the clamp and hold it open. Slide the clamp over the hose and then attach the hose and clamp to the fitting. Slide the clamp into place at the joint and tighten. Do not overtighten. This brass-colored clamp is a spring clamp made of metal; it is sold as an individual unit. This clamp is compatible with many different types of pipes made by various manufacturers.
Exhaust piping connects to the muffler system on small engines. Replace if cracked, corroded, or damaged to restore proper exhaust routing and function.
This is a primer hose that is used in various types of lawn and garden equipment. It's made of black flexible plastic and is tasked with taking the fuel into the primer bulb assembly. As the tool is used over time, the primer hose can start to wear down and may become damaged. If it is broken, cracked, or otherwise damaged, the primer hose will need to be replaced. If the primer hose isn't working correctly, it can cause the engine to stall or the equipment to stop running altogether. If the primer hose has deteriorated, it will need to be removed so a replacement component can be installed. Take the rear cover off of the tool using a screwdriver. Drain any fuel from the tank and then detach the carburetor from the equipment. Next, remove the primer hose from the primer assembly. Once it's been detached, the new hose can be installed. Reassemble the parts before using the tool. This primer hose assembly is an authentic OEM part directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is made to be compatible with wood chippers, leaf blowers, and log splitters created by MTD and Cub Cadet.
If your log splitter won't start, runs rough, or lacks power, the complete engine may need replacement. This assembly powers the entire splitting system.
