I was drilling new holes from the top to replace them with stainless steel screws The 1/4" tubing broke free from one of the burners. Getting to it was a nightmare. These so called solid tops were built like an erector set. but I prevailed. I did take one shortcut. I cut the replacement tube and only replaced the damaged burner end and installed a compression fitting. This helped save some time getting to the valve end which was not damaged. Read more
The range timer knob shaft is the rotating rod that connects the timer control knob to the internal timer mechanism behind the control panel. Replace when the timer knob spins freely without engaging, feels loose, or the timer won't advance properly.
