This is a small metal or plastic retainer clip that secures the main top panel of the dryer to the cabinet frame. It holds the top panel firmly in place so it doesn't shift or rattle during operation. If your dryer's top panel feels loose, pops up during use, or won't stay properly seated, this clip may be broken or missing.
Gas burner won't light or clicks but doesn't ignite? Replace the igniter switch to restore spark and reliable lighting. Simple 15-30 minute DIY fix.
Very simple fix. Pull off burner knobs. remove 6 screws for faceplate, and remove. Used needle nose pliers to remove two wires, then old igniter pulled straight off. Actual fix took about 3 minutes. I spent way more time in cleaning faceplate and knobs before putting back together - even with that took only about 30 minutes for total job. Very easy. Read more

I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.
