This extension spring is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used on many lawn mowers and other lawn and garden machines. Extension springs are used on the deck handle to lift the deck up and down. It attaches to the deck on one end and the deck handle on the other. As the handle is lifted up and down, the spring provides tension that holds the deck to the machine while at the same time stretching to allow the up and down movement. If the spring is not functioning correctly, the deck may not go up and down as smoothly or at all. Springs don't normally break; however, over time with repeated use, they may stretch beyond use or rust and not stretch at all. Routine maintenance and visual inspection will reveal this and repairs can be made before damage to the mower occurs.Extension springs cannot be repaired, they have to be replaced. Make sure the mower is turned off and parked on a level surface before beginning. The machine needs to be cool to prevent burns. Always wear gloves when replacing parts. This extension spring is made of heavy duty metal and is sold as an individual part. It is compatible with riding mowers, lawn mowers, and other machinery manufactured by MTD, Craftsman, and others.
This is a genuine replacement belt designed to work with multiple types of snowblowers. It is sometimes called a wheel drive belt or a V-belt. The belt is installed on pulleys that allow the transfer of motive power from the engine to the wheels and the auger, allowing the snowblower to move forward, as well as break up and throw snow. These belts are made from high-quality rubber, but they will suffer from wear and tear over time. Through normal use, exposure to extreme temperatures, and over time, the rubber can crack, and eventually, the belt will break. If the snowblower's wheels will not turn, it is most likely that the belt needs to be replaced. Replacing the belt is simple, but will require accessing the pulleys. Remove the old belt and then install the new one according to the owner's manual. Note that this is an OEM replacement part and is sold individually. It is designed for Craftsman and MTD snowblowers, as well as models from Ryobi, Huskee, Cub Cadet, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, and Troy-Bilt.
