My 12 year-old cooktop was rusted through in a couple of key places, but the rest of my range was in terrific shape, so I decided to order a replacement cooktop. The perfect part arrived quickly. The manufacturer no longer makes the duel socket as shown in the photo. It has been replaced by a single socket
Simple, just like the video I watched on line. It just popped out and all I had to do was unplug the wires off the old one and put the wires back on the new one. Real simple. Read more
The repair itself was straight forward as others have said. Remove back panel, raise stove top to access srews, then remove side panels ( outer and inner ). Voila the hinges are right there.
