Many small yard and garden machine engines will feature a crankcase, which is a metal case that covers the crankshaft of the engine. This crankshaft mounts to the case and features the valve and camshaft mechanisms as well as connecting to a belt or chain drive for the engine. It is connected by bolts and features an upper and lower portion joined together with a gasket. The lower portion holds lubricants to help keep the engine running cool. The crankcase gasket creates a seal that ensures no oil or air leaks, but the gasket can deteriorate over time. This replacement gasket is designed to work with small engines made by Toro and Briggs & Stratton. It features the gasket and specialized bolts to ensure the tightest seal. This is an OEM part and will require appropriately sized wrenches as well as disassembling the crankcase. Bolts require use of a torque wrench and will be tightened to 300 inch pounds. This assembly ships individually with gasket and bolts.
