The blower housing assembly encloses the blower wheel and channels air through the unit's coils. Replacing a cracked or warped housing helps restore smooth airflow and reduce blower noise caused by rubbing or misalignment.
- Directs and focuses airflow through the heat-exchange coils for proper operation
- Supports and aligns the blower wheel so it spins with correct clearance
- Helps minimize vibration and noise when the housing is intact
- Symptoms of a failed housing may include scraping or rattling noises, weak airflow, vibration, or visible cracks/broken mounts around the blower area
Includes: 1 blower housing assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; wear cut-resistant gloves and eye protection.
- Remove the front panel/cabinet to access the blower section; note screw and clip locations.
- Transfer the blower wheel, seals, and any reusable hardware from the old housing.
- Before reassembly, spin the blower wheel by hand to ensure free, rub-free rotation.
