This is a replacement transmission cover part for a walk-behind lawn mower or a riding lawn tractor. The transmission helps provide controlled power to the engine and overall machine, so it is important to keep it safe. The cover is a durable plastic that fits around the transmission itself, and is really easy to replace.Over time and through potential mowing over damaging material, the cover can break or crack. This depends on the mower, storage, and the terrain it is used on. For mowers used on normal grass lawns and are stored indoors and out of sunlight might need transmission covers less often than mowers used on silty grasslands or those that are kept out in the sunlight. Replacing the cover is simple, and requires a screwdriver, pliers, a drill, and a pair of durable gloves. The replacement requires some disassembly of the lawn mower and its inner workings.This is a genuine OEM replacement transmission cover.
