I ordered the parts, deciding that if one spring had broken, the other one should probably be replaced at the same time. Seal gasket for dishwasher inlet base assembly. Replace if you notice leaks, moisture buildup, or debris entering internal components. Confirm fit.
1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. This is the electric heating element located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub that heats water during wash cycles and provides heat for the drying cycle. It is a looped metal element that generates heat when electrical current passes through it. Replace this part if your dishwasher is not heating water properly, dishes come out wet or cold after the drying cycle, or if the element is visibly damaged or burned through.
