I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning). 1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. This small clip secures your dishwasher door latch mechanism in the proper position. It ensures the door latch assembly stays aligned and functions correctly. If your dishwasher door won't latch properly or feels loose when closing, this clip may be missing or damaged.
Assessed the situation and determined that the metal strike was broken. The unit did not work and no power due to this. Looked up the part with the model number and installed in less than 10 minutes. This assembly removes food particles from wash water and pumps dirty water out of the dishwasher during drain cycles. Located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub, it needs replacement when dishes remain dirty, water doesn't drain completely, or unusual grinding noises occur during operation.
