The spark module for my 1990 Caloric Model RSS398 Natural Gas double oven range stopped functioning. This is a front retainer shaft that is used on lawnmowers and lawn tractors of various makes and models. The part can be found between the wave washer and the front shaft assembly on the lawn and garden equipment. Each of the retainer shafts is made of strong plastic but can become damaged over time. If the retainer shaft is broken, lost, or damaged, it can cause the lawnmower to have issues. When there are problems with this component, it will need to be replaced.When replacing the front retainer shaft, a socket set and a screwdriver will likely be needed. A pair of work gloves will also be useful. Make sure the lawnmower is placed on a stable surface and has been shut off before beginning. The spark plug wire should also be disconnected. Take off the front wheels and remove the original shaft retainer before installing the new one and reassembling the machine.The front retainer shaft is designed to be compatible with lawnmowers and lawn tractors manufactured by Husqvarna, Poulan, and Jonsered.
