This is a nut that is used in many microwave ovens. It is typically used to hold interior fan in place. A nut is a fastener that is used to hold two items together or keep one component secure against a surface. Use and time can cause the nut to become stripped, damaged, or broken. I thought this would be a simple remove and replace, boy was I wrong. This repair became more complicated then it should have been. The screws holding the skirt were frozen and broke when trying to remove. Had to end up cutting the skirt using a dremel and a cutting blade. Was able to remove one of the screws using a pinning plier. The other one I had to bore it out using a drill bit.
