The Igniter is an OEM part for Bosch gas ranges. It is responsible for igniting the gas to produce a flame for cooking. This component is essential for the proper functioning of the burner, ensuring reliable and efficient ignition to provide heat.
Common causes of a bad igniter include normal wear and tear, exposure to high temperatures, or electrical malfunctions. A failing igniter can lead to difficulties in starting the burner and inconsistent heating.
Symptoms of a bad igniter include:
- The burner not lighting or taking a long time to light
- Weak or intermittent flame
- Clicking sounds without ignition
- No response when the burner knob is turned on
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Bosch oven was not heating up but broiler and top burners worked Jefferson A. • Seattle , WA • June 16, 2017
I ordered an igniter, unplugged the stove, and installed the igniter. A couple things about that- the bolts that hold the igniter on are star drive #20's. Once the two bolts are off, you realize there is not enough slack in the two wires going into the back of the stove to get to the connecter. So you have to remove the back of the stove panel to get at the connecter. Look at the new connecter to see how it unsnaps.
