This was some repair! My SG1000 stackable is over 30 years old and was purchased second hand. I've replaced many parts in the dryer section, but besides a water inlet, this was my first repair to the washer. All of a sudden it started making a terrible noise and was not agitating the clothes. The spin cycle worked fine. I first replaced the two belts on the bottom, but when I removed the old ones I realized they did not look terribly worn and weren't the cause. Many stories on here indicated... Read more
For complete assembly order WP206680.
I cannot believe this machine still runs. APP has sold me repair parts for this unit now 3 times. First I wanted to replace the old belts. They still worked but was more a preventative thing. Next was a water control valve a few years ago. This time I noticed a leak near the valve again. I decided to buy a new valve and also replace all the rubber hoses that were 35 years old. The repair took about 3 hours. 1.5 to remove the old parts and do a cleaning that was greatly needed. 0.5 hours to... Read more

This bolt is a genuine Whirlpool part, sold individually. It can be used as a replacement part for a washing machine or a washer/dryer combination appliance. This bolt fastens parts to one another in conjunction with a nut so that they do not come loose while the washing machine vibrates when it is in operation.A bolt might be easily lost or misplaced as it is a small part that might go missing without any noticeable symptoms. Additionally, a bolt might be stripped through general wear and tear or as a result of a direct impact collision with a hard object that warps the component beyond functionality. If any of these things occur, the bolt should be replaced by this genuine OEM replacement part. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This bolt is compatible with the following appliance brands: Whirlpool, Maytag, International, and Jenn Air.

This lid bumper cushions the contact point between a washer lid and the top panel to reduce slamming noise and protect the finish. Replacing a worn or missing bumper restores smooth, quiet lid operation and helps prevent paint damage.
Removed lid sanded down all rust spots, taped over the printed instructions on the inside of the lid, washed with alcohol and spray painted with appliance white epoxy paint. Replaced the plastic hinge-balls and one of the lid support/bumper grommet. It was actually easier to install the lid than removing it; used a small amount of grease to hold both balls in place, by holding the lid vertical and placing the left side to the inserted ball and then pushing the right side down. The lid slides... Read more

1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. Additionally I replaced the rubber Seal for Input which seals the plastic input fitting to the tub just to make sure... Read more

Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more
