Exhaust Gasket
Genuine Midwest Engine part
By: Midwest Engine
Part Number: 691893

This exhaust gasket is a genuine Midwest Engine replacement part for appliances that use small engines, such as chipper shredders, snowblowers, leaf blowers, and lawn mowers. The function of an exhaust gasket is to seal off the carburetor from the exhaust tube in order to protect the engine from the accumulation of dirt, debris, and gunk within the inner workings. The exhaust gasket may require replacement over time from general wear and tear. If the exhaust gasket is not sealing, allowing dirt and debris to accumulate within the carburetor and leaving the exhaust tube exposed, the part should be replaced immediately. Evidence of a damaged exhaust gasket could also manifest in the form of oil leakage, black smoke arising out of the exhaust tube, and unusually low pressure from the combustion when using the appliance. Any of these symptoms can be attributable to multiple factors, so one should assess if the exhaust gasket is responsible before ordering a replacement. This exhaust gasket is compatible with the following brands: Briggs and Stratton, Cub Cadet, Toro, and Simplicity. This part sold individually.

Cylinder Head Gasket
Genuine Midwest Engine part
By: Midwest Engine
Part Number: 697230

This is a cylinder head gasket. It creates a seal that air can't move through. When the cylinder head gasket is working correctly, it prevents leakages of oil or air. As time goes on, the cylinder head gasket will start to wear out and will need to be replaced. If the cylinder head gasket is worn out or damaged, the replacement will require the use of a wrench. The process involves moving the tool to a stable surface and disconnecting the spark plug wire. The engine will need to be disassembled to get access to the head gasket. Remove it from the engine and replace it with a new component. Make sure to reassemble all parts before using the tool. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual part. The cylinder head gasket is made to be used with lawn mowers, leaf blowers, tillers, and pressure washers manufactured by Cub Cadet, Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, and Toro.

Fuel Shut Off Valve
Genuine Midwest Engine part
By: Midwest Engine
Part Number: 698180

This is a fuel cut-off value that is used in over 150 different small gasoline-powered engines. Those devices that have this value include power vacuums, leaf blowers, pressure washers, and generators. The fuel cut-off valve is a safety feature that sits on the bottom of the fuel tank. In situations where the engine must be cleared of gasoline, this valve is very useful. It allows the gasoline in the fuel line to continue to the carburetor and to be combusted in the cylinder. Once the engine block is drained of gasoline, no further ignition of fuel is possible until the cut-off is reactivated. Although it is out of the way of casual contact, the cut-off can be bumped and damaged by contact with other tools, hoses, or debris. Also, since it is a narrow passage through which gasoline passes, it is possible for contaminants to jam the flow and create a blockage. If the tank is full of gasoline and the carburetor is functioning normally, an engine that won't offer to start at all may be the victim of a faulty cut-off fuel valve. This OEM genuine replacement is compatible with Toro and Briggs and Stratton engines.
