Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bought a used dryer went through it before putting in service to insure things were ok   Clifford R. • Bay St. Louis , MS • December 17, 2014

Found belt tension idler worn down to the bushing, found the drum rollers stiff and hard to turn, found belt worn and starting to crack. Ordered all of these plus front slide pads. Replaced and now feel confident the dryer will run without problems. Absolutely need a pair of snap-ring pliers for this job. I used a high temp grease on the roller shafts, some info on what lubrication is recommended would be good. While dryer is disassembled, clean/vacuum all the lint from the cabinet, motor,... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Main bearing going out   Jason C. • Alva , OK • November 20, 2014

All the talk of a loud washer sounding like a jet taking off in the laundry room, well this is the fix. Kind of a complicated repair but just follow the instructions and you'll breeze right through it. Figure if you're about to tear into a washing machine and DIY you got this handled. Get the washer to a wide open room, I used the garage, and take the whole thing apart. Don't try to fix it with the side panels attached, it will be a pain in the butt. There are a few special tools needed but if... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bearings were worn out makeing a lot of noise   Lawrence L. • Largo , FL • August 08, 2015

I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it. After I struggled to get it apart The repair went very easy, I used brake spring pliers to remove the springs it worked like a charm. I am very pleased with... Read more
