This large cylindrical assembly forms the back portion of your washing machine's drum and includes the bearing system that allows smooth rotation during wash cycles. Located at the rear of the wash basket, it supports the drum's weight and maintains proper alignment during operation. Replace when you hear loud grinding or squealing noises during spin cycles, notice excessive vibration, or see water leaking from the back of the machine.
