This is the tall outer tub assembly that includes the lip seal, forming the main water-holding container in the washing machine. It surrounds the inner wash basket and contains the water and detergent during wash and rinse cycles. I replaced both the solenoid (part of the inlet valve kit) and the pressure sensor. Online research suggested my intermittent issue with the cold water fill being just a trickle and then causing an error was likely due to one or both of those two parts failing. Since they are in the same spot it was suggested (and I agree) that it is best to replace both at the same time.
