I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Ordered the new parts, removed the old timer and replaced it with the new one. I had to position the peel and stick over lay on the timer and attach the timer with 4 screws that I saved. The timer only plugs in one way so the swap out was very simple. The knob was a simple change out. Read more
