The Washer Lid Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It provides a tight seal between the washer lid and the tub, preventing water from leaking out during the wash cycle.
Causes of a bad washer lid seal can include wear and tear from regular use, exposure to harsh detergents, or damage due to improper closing of the lid.

We replaced the lid hinges with new bushings as this is a very old machine and they were worn out affecting the position of the hinges and thereby affecting the lid switch. Also replaced the lid switch, which was a breeze with the help of the video. Thanks to the Covid 19, I was bored and fixed the problem because I had to stay home and do stuff that I was putting off.
